The history of this Rolex Datejust
Rolex unveiled the Datejust in 1945 to mark its 40th anniversary. The reference 126334 continues this tradition with a robust design. The inclusion of the Cyclops lens above the date was a personal touch. Hans Wilsdorf had this lens patented in 1953 to make it easier for his wife to read the date. This protrusion, crafted from pure sapphire, offers 2.5x magnification and quickly became a technical hallmark of the brand.

The date window is positioned at 3 o’clock beneath a flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The Calibre 3235 automatic movement powers the watch and provides a power reserve of 70 hours. This movement operates at a frequency of 4 Hz and is water-resistant to 100 metres. The three-link Oyster bracelet exudes a sporty look with a mirror-polished centre and brushed outer links. It fastens with an Oysterclasp folding clasp fitted with the Easylink extension system.
