The reference 6517 exemplifies this technical approach by offering a smaller 24 mm case. Produced around 1970, this watch bears witness to a period when the watchmaking industry was integrating the Perpetual self-winding mechanism into a particularly confined space. The 24 mm round case is machined from stainless steel and is topped with a fluted bezel in yellow gold. The silver-coloured dial with a sunburst finish features applied yellow gold hour markers. These elements frame straight hands that bear traces of tritium luminescent material, which has developed a natural patina. A date window is situated beneath the magnifying dome-shaped Plexiglas crystal. The watch is powered by the self-winding mechanical Calibre 1161, manufactured by Rolex. This movement, fitted with 26 jewels, guarantees a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. This watch is fitted with a replacement textured brown leather strap, secured by a steel pin buckle.
