This Chopard, reference 168459-3014, is among the rarest and most confidential variations of the Mille Miglia collection, developed as a tribute to the legendary 1,000 Miglia automobile race, of which Chopard has been an official partner since 1988. This Blackriders version stands out for its dark and radical aesthetic, conceived as a more sporty and contemporary interpretation of the racing spirit. Produced as a limited and numbered series of only 50 pieces, it’s aimed above all at collectors seeking an exclusive model within the Mille Miglia range.
Case, movement and bracelet
This watch features a 44 mm black PVD-coated stainless steel case, offering a strong presence on the wrist, paired with a black PVD-coated steel bezel engraved with a tachymeter scale, a direct reference to automotive timing. It houses a self-winding mechanical chronograph, visible through a sapphire caseback and protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The black dial displays a date at 3 o’clock, luminescent indexes and hands, and a three-counter layout with the small seconds positioned at 9 o’clock. The watch is fitted with a black leather strap, secured by a Chopard stainless steel folding clasp. A second strap is also delivered with the watch. The whole piece underwent a complete service in 2014.
