The history of this Chopard Mille Miglia Chronograph
This 42 mm Chopard, reference 168511-3018, belongs to the iconic collection born from the partnership between Chopard and the legendary 1,000 Miglia automobile race, of which the House has been the official partner since 1988. Inspired by the world of classic cars and the “gentleman driver” spirit, this watch adopts the codes of traditional dashboard instruments, combining performance, legibility and sporty elegance. It fully embodies the racing DNA of the Mille Miglia line, now emblematic within Chopard.
Case, movement and bracelet
This watch features a 42 mm stainless steel case, paired with a tachymeter-engraved bezel, a direct reference to the automotive world. It’s powered by a self-winding mechanical movement, calibre 2894-2, equipped with 37 jewels, a 42-hour power reserve and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The luminous and elegant mother-of-pearl dial houses three white-rimmed subdials, Arabic numerals, luminescent hands, a small seconds at 3 o’clock and a date positioned at 4:30. The whole is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal and completed by a screwed stainless steel caseback with sapphire crystal. The watch is fitted with a white rubber strap with tyre-pattern motif, an iconic signature of the collection, secured by a stainless steel pin buckle.
