Chopard launched the Happy Sport collection in 1993. The model was born out of a desire to combine diamonds with stainless steel. During its design, the technical challenge lay in allowing the diamonds to move freely without scratching the inner crystals. Each stone is set in a gold capsule with a bevelled base, enabling it to slide between two sapphire crystals. This setting allows the jewelled elements to be worn on a daily basis.

The 26 mm round case is crafted from stainless steel. It is topped by a smooth yellow gold bezel. The design features four blue sapphire cabochons on the lugs and one cabochon on the crown. The five-row bracelet alternates between polished steel and yellow gold. The clasp is a butterfly folding clasp concealed beneath the links.
