Launched in 1993, the Happy Sport collection marked a real evolution in women’s watchmaking by becoming the first watch to combine stainless steel and mobile diamonds. This emblematic Happy Diamonds concept, where the stones move freely between two sapphire crystals, quickly became a signature of the House. The Happy Sport Hearts line builds on this heritage by adding the heart motif, an important symbol for Chopard, for a more jewellery-oriented and emotional interpretation. Reference 987509 stands out with its pink mother-of-pearl dial and the presence of two floating hearts, a particularly sought-after configuration within the collection.
Case, movement and bracelet
This Chopard features a 38 mm stainless steel case paired with a unidirectional steel bezel, highlighting the model’s sport-chic identity. It’s powered by a reliable Chopard quartz movement, ideal for everyday use. The pink mother-of-pearl dial displays Arabic numerals, cream-coloured luminescent hands and indexes, and a date positioned at 4:30. Two floating hearts glide freely across the dial, each set with 13 diamonds and 13 rubies (0.19 ct per stone), adding both brilliance and motion. The watch is fitted with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a screw-down stainless steel caseback. It comes on a stainless steel bracelet with a double-folding steel clasp and is accompanied by a second Chopard fuchsia leather strap.
