The history of this Rolex Datejust 41
Rolex has built its legacy on chronometric precision and legibility. Introduced in 1945, the Datejust pioneered the display of the date in a window on a water-resistant automatic chronometer. The reference 126334 retains this functional design. The addition of the Cyclops lens in 1953, commissioned by Hans Wilsdorf to improve the readability of the dial, remains the model’s most distinctive visual feature. This watch offers a rational technical approach, designed for everyday use.
Case, movement and bracelet of this Datejust 41
The 41-millimetre case is machined from Oystersteel and topped with a fluted bezel in 18-carat white gold. The blue sunburst-finished dial contrasts with the luminescent baton hour-markers. The 5-link Jubilee bracelet fastens with a folding clasp. This timepiece is powered by the calibre 3235, a self-winding mechanical movement offering a 70-hour power reserve. This movement incorporates the Chronergy escapement and is water-resistant to 100 metres.
