This Omega is part of the legacy of the iconic Speedmaster, which became legendary for its role in space exploration. Launched to offer a resolutely contemporary interpretation of the Moonwatch, the Dark Side of the Moon collection pays tribute to the far side of the Moon through innovative materials and a modern aesthetic. This Grey version, produced in 2015, combines the historical heritage of the Speedmaster with a more elegant and luminous approach, while retaining the technical and sporty DNA that has made the model so renowned.
Case, calibre and bracelet
This Speedmaster is powered by the Omega manufacture calibre 9300, an automatic mechanical movement beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, fitted with 54 jewels and offering a 60-hour power reserve. It provides hours, minutes, small seconds, chronograph and date functions. The polished and satin-finished grey ceramic case measuring 44.25 mm is paired with a ceramic bezel engraved with a tachymeter scale. The silver-toned dial features polished steel indexes and steel hands, all coated with luminescent material, as well as two subdials: the 12-hour chronograph counter at 3 o’clock and the small seconds at 9 o’clock, completed by a date display at 6 o’clock. The watch is fitted with a grey alligator leather strap with white stitching, secured by a ceramic pin buckle.
