The history of this Omega Railmaster Trilogy
This Omega is part of the legendary 1957 Trilogy, alongside the Speedmaster and the Seamaster 300. Originally designed for engineers and technicians working in proximity to magnetic fields, the Railmaster stood out as early as 1957 for its utilitarian purpose and exceptional legibility. This limited Trilogy edition, launched to celebrate the 60th anniversary of these three iconic models, pays tribute to the clean aesthetic of the original Railmaster while placing it within a contemporary watchmaking vision. Limited to 3,557 pieces, it embodies a direct link between heritage and innovation.
Case, calibre and bracelet
This Omega is powered by the automatic mechanical calibre 8806, certified Master Chronometer, featuring 35 jewels, a 55-hour power reserve and a frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour. Designed to withstand magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss, this modern calibre continues the historic anti-magnetic vocation of the model. The 38 mm stainless steel case with smooth bezel houses a black dial with Arabic numerals and luminous indexes, complemented by rhodium-plated hands with luminescent coating. The watch is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal and fitted with a stainless steel bracelet with an Omega stainless steel folding clasp.
