Case, movement and strap of this chronometer
This chronometer features a round, polished steel case with a mirror finish, without lugs. The smooth bezel frames a matt lacquered white dial structured by a double minute scale. The black and red Arabic numerals range from 5 to 60 and are accompanied by fine hatching, allowing for reading to 1/5 of a second. The time is indicated by a large, asymmetrical black central hand and a small arrow-shaped hand within the 60-minute counter at 12 o’clock. The watch is operated by an onion-shaped crown at 12 o’clock, which incorporates a lug ring, whilst a side slide positioned at 10 o’clock allows the timer to be paused. The hand-wound mechanical movement is based on a Valjoux calibre architecture featuring a large screw-mounted balance wheel. The absence of a strap is compensated for by the hinged lug, designed to accommodate a retaining cord.

The mechanical movement is in good working order and ensures smooth operation of the controls. Although the current patina reflects the watch’s history, polishing is available on request.
