The functional design of the Happy Teddy collection
In 1976, Chopard introduced the concept of moving diamonds, freed from their traditional settings, which slide between two sapphire crystals. The Teddy collection applies this engineering to a figurative design. This pre-owned necklace features a natural brilliant-cut diamond of approximately 0.03 carats at the centre of its motif. The piece is crafted in 18K yellow gold.
Architecture and jewellery craftsmanship
The pendant features a three-dimensional bear-shaped design with a geometric detail beneath the chin. The setting is characterised by its substantial volume of alloy, providing a substantial feel when worn. The central diamond is held in place by a yellow gold bezel setting designed to allow it to move freely within its transparent capsule. The suspension ring connects the pendant to a 42-centimetre braided link chain. All metal surfaces have a polished finish.
