The story behind this Bell & Ross BR S
When the manufacturer launched its Instrumental collection in the 2000s, the market was introduced to a design directly inspired by on-board instruments. To meet demand for more compact proportions, the brand unveiled the Smaller Sleeker Smarter range. This evolution retains the four screws and the square geometry of the case, whilst reducing the size. The BRS-98-WCS model adapts this functional aesthetic. Its design is based on the contrast between the lines of a utilitarian flight instrument and the incorporation of jeweller’s setting on the bezel.
Case, movement and strap of this BR S
The square case measures 39 mm and is crafted from white ceramic with a smooth finish. The solid caseback is made from stainless steel. The circular bezel features a setting of white diamonds. Beneath the sapphire crystal, the matt white dial displays applied Arabic numerals and hands coated with luminescent material. The sub-dial at 6 o’clock indicates the small seconds on a finely textured background. This watch is powered by a Swiss quartz movement, ensuring reliable timekeeping. It is water-resistant to 50 metres. The white rubber strap is secured by a signed steel pin buckle.

This model is of interest on the second-hand market for enthusiasts seeking a timepiece with a bold design, whilst retaining a simple and functional time display.
