The TAG Heuer Autavia is one of the Maison’s most emblematic collections, its name (derived from Automobile and Aviation) directly referencing the onboard instruments developed by Heuer from the early 20th century. Reinterpreted in a contemporary version, this 2022 Autavia retains the defining traits of a legible and robust tool watch, designed for versatile use. It reflects TAG Heuer’s commitment to reviving a historic model while adapting it to modern watchmaking standards, without compromising on a strong and functional design.
Case, movement and strap
This model is powered by a mechanical self-winding Calibre 5 movement, COSC-certified chronometer, composed of 25 jewels, operating at 28,000 vibrations per hour and offering a 38-hour power reserve. The 42 mm stainless steel case features a black ceramic bi-directional rotating bezel, a screw-down crown, and a sapphire crystal. The smoked black dial, with luminescent numerals and hands, ensures clear legibility in all conditions. The watch is fitted with a brown leather strap with a TAG Heuer stainless steel pin buckle, and comes with a second TAG Heuer black NATO strap with beige edging, also signed with a pin buckle.
