The Lebanese jewellery house Selim Mouzannar draws its inspiration from the traditional Ottoman architecture of Beirut’s historic mansions. This pre-owned piece from the Beirut collection pays direct homage to this heritage through a modernised oriental aesthetic. At the centre of this creation sits a natural brilliant-cut sapphire estimated at approximately 0.80 carats. Its intense blue colour offers remarkable clarity and transparency. The setting, crafted from 750-thousandths rose gold, features a generous and particularly imposing structure.
Architecture and jewellery craftsmanship
The body of the ring takes the form of a very substantial dome, the curved surface of which is adorned with translucent midnight blue grand feu enamel. This intricate work reveals a delicate gold guilloché pattern consisting of regular, radiating striations. A large eight-pointed star set at the centre reinforces the piece’s bold character. The sapphire is firmly held in a raised position by four slender prongs, whilst the star’s points are set with pavé diamonds. These round brilliant-cut diamonds total approximately 0.25 carats and are meticulously grain-set within the rose gold framework.

The inside of the imposing band bears the ‘750’ engraving, confirming the precise fineness of the alloy. The ring is supplied with its original signed presentation box and a protective fabric pouch.
