Architecture and jewellery craftsmanship
The body of each hoop is formed of rows of interlaced V-shaped links, which create a regular pattern of chevrons across a round cross-section. The weave is openwork; light passes through the links, lightening the ring without detracting from its presence. Each wire is mirror-polished, so that the edges of the chevrons reflect light in a series of subtle flashes with every movement of the head. Both ends are fitted with smooth, polished caps. The clasp consists of a hinged pin mounted on a pivot, which clips into a slotted notch at the other end, closing the hoop without disrupting the line. When worn, the hoop frames the earlobe with a textured gold line, which is more vibrant than a smooth wire.
