The history of this Hublot Big Bang clock
The House of Hublot redefined the watchmaking landscape in 2005 under the impetus of Jean-Claude Biver with the launch of the Art of Fusion concept. To accompany the immense success of this audacious line and to dress up its luxurious official boutiques around the world, the brand has designed exclusive promotional objects called Dealer Displays. These monumental wall clocks faithfully reproduce the aesthetic codes of the famous wristwatch. Never before marketed to the general public, this sculptural piece met the need to enhance the brand's visual identity in prestigious retail spaces. Its presence bears witness to a pivotal era when complex geometry and industrial materials became the new norm for sporting luxury.
Architecture, movement and design of this clock
The architecture of this decorative piece impresses with its generous dimensions, measuring 45 cm wide by 50 cm high and 10 cm thick. The main structure is machined from brushed aluminium bearing the engraving AL 3929. The sides feature textured black inserts that repeat the embossed pattern characteristic of the original model. The matt black bezel is secured by six emblematic H-shaped screws. The deep black dial features large Arabic numerals in relief, contrasted by a thin central red hand. The time display is driven by a reliable and silent quartz movement, concealed in a module on the back of the piece and powered by a single battery. Completely devoid of a bracelet, this clock incorporates a sturdy wall-mounting notch on its back accompanied by three spacer cylinders to ensure that it sits perfectly parallel to the wall.
Why this Hublot clock
This collector's item embodies all the soul and visual impact of the famous sports watch. Dealer Display variations are particularly sought after by watch enthusiasts wishing to integrate the spirit of the manufacture into an office, living room or private collection space. This brushed aluminium version offers a strong architectural presence and remarkable legibility. Acquiring such an object allows you to own a genuine piece of the Swiss brand's commercial history, often unobtainable on the traditional market.
Delivered contents and condition
This wall clock is delivered on its own as an independent decorative object. It has some marks from previous use in the shop, visible on the edges and bottom corners. The dial and glass remain perfectly intact and clear. This condition bears witness to its history as a display object and gives it an assumed industrial charm, without detracting from its mechanical operation.
