This 40 mm Chopard belongs to one of the House’s signature collections, known for its aesthetics inspired by historical symbols of Antiquity and its blend of watchmaking and jewellery design. Reference 384211-5001R illustrates this identity perfectly: a red gold chronograph with refined decorative details, powered by the Frédéric Piguet 1185 calibre, a movement renowned for its finesse and reliability. Case, calibre and bracelet
This Imperiale is equipped with the automatic Piguet 1185 calibre, made of 304 components and 37 jewels, running at 21,600 vph with a 48-hour power reserve. The 40 mm 18-carat red gold case houses a silver dial with a mother-of-pearl centre, luminescent hands and indexes, a date at 3 o’clock, three chronograph counters and a small seconds at 6 o’clock. The crown is set with a 0.15 ct amethyst, while the lugs feature cabochon-cut amethysts totalling 0.60 ct. The watch is fitted with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a screwed caseback with sapphire glass revealing the movement. Water resistance: 50 m. It comes on a brown alligator strap with a Chopard red gold pin buckle.
