The history of this Cartier Panthère has its roots in the legacy of Jeanne Toussaint, a leading figure in artistic direction from 1933 onwards, nicknamed ‘the Panther’ for her independent spirit. The model’s name does not refer to the dial, but to the architectural design of its bracelet. Its articulated links replicate the suppleness and movement of the animal as it moves. The WJPN0016 model incorporates this design, combining it with yellow gold, a classic alloy. Case, movement and bracelet of this Panthère
The 27 mm by 37 mm case sits on the wrist with a thickness of 6 mm. Crafted from 750 yellow gold, it features square lines with softened corners that extend towards the lugs. The bezel is secured by eight visible screws and features a factory-set arrangement of brilliant-cut diamonds. The octagonal crown features a single inverted diamond, a jeweller’s detail that replaces the cabochon sapphire. Beneath the sapphire crystal, the matt-finished silver dial showcases the brand’s signature features with 12 black Roman numerals and the secret signature concealed at 10 o’clock. The time is indicated by two blued steel sword-shaped hands. This model houses a Swiss quartz movement offering a power reserve of approximately 3 years on a single battery. The watch is water-resistant to 30 metres. The strap consists of a yellow gold bracelet with a polished finish, secured by an invisible double-blade folding clasp.

The watch is in a used condition with slight micro-scratches from wear on the polished surfaces of the yellow gold. The metal shows no signs of impact and retains its original shape. A careful polishing can be carried out by our workshops upon request by the purchaser.
