The history of this Cartier Pasha:
Born in the 1930s from a special commission made to the renowned watchmaker Cartier, the Pasha was designed from the outset as an elegant timepiece made to accompany its owner everywhere. Modernised in the 1980s by designer Gérald Genta, it became an iconic sport-chic model: a round case, crown protected by a screw-down cover set with a blue spinel, and a uniquely styled dial. Reference 2730 follows this lineage. Produced in the 2000s, it retains the emblematic DNA of the collection while adopting a contemporary 42 mm diameter, highly appreciated by collectors.
Case, calibre and bracelet:
This Pasha features a 42 mm steel case water-resistant to 100 metres, protected by a sapphire crystal and fitted with a transparent screwed caseback revealing its movement. Inside sits the automatic calibre 8000MC, a reliable movement composed of 27 jewels, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a 52-hour power reserve. The cream dial combines baton indexes, Arabic numerals, railway-track minuterie and blued-steel sword-shaped hands.
