This rose gold Royal Oak Offshore (ref. 470OR.00.A002CR.01) reflects the bold and sporty spirit of the Offshore collection launched by Audemars Piguet in 1993. Designed as a more robust and modern alternative to the Royal Oak, it features a large case, prominent counters and a “Méga Tapisserie” dial. This 18-carat rose gold version adds a more luxurious touch while maintaining the technical and contemporary DNA of the line.
Case, calibre and bracelet
The 18-carat rose gold case measures 42 mm and is protected by a sapphire crystal and a transparent caseback showcasing the 3126/3840 calibre. This automatic movement is composed of 365 parts and 59 jewels, features a 22-carat gold oscillating weight and offers a 50-hour power reserve. It beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and powers the chronograph, small seconds and date.
The champagne dial features the “Méga Tapisserie” pattern, luminescent Arabic numerals, luminescent Royal Oak hands in white gold, a tachymeter scale on the flange and three subdials. The watch is fitted with a black alligator strap with a rose gold pin buckle and comes with a second leather strap. Water resistance is rated at 100 metres.
