The history of this Royal Oak Offshore “Beast” 25th Anniversary Chronograph
This Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore “Beast” (ref. 26238ST.00.2000ST.01) was launched for the 25th anniversary of the collection. It takes its design from the 1993 model (25721ST), known for marking the beginning of the Offshore line. It preserves the same features: a robust 42 mm case, blue “Méga Tapisserie” dial, prominent pushers and a sporty look. Introduced in 2017, this modernised version keeps the identity of the first Offshore while offering more contemporary build quality.
Case, calibre and bracelet
The stainless steel case measures 42 mm x 54 mm with a thickness of 14.3 mm and remains water-resistant to 100 metres. The watch features a sapphire crystal, a screw-down crown and pushers coated in black rubber. It runs on the automatic AP calibre 3126/3840: 3 Hz, 59 jewels, 365 components and a 55-hour power reserve. The blue dial features the “Méga Tapisserie” pattern, a tachymeter scale and Royal Oak hands in white gold, all luminescent. The watch comes with a steel bracelet (AP double folding clasp) and an additional blue rubber strap.
