The fluted bezel is Rolex's signature element. Originally, the grooves on the Oyster bezel served a functional purpose: they were used to screw the bezel onto the case, so as to guarantee the watch's water-resistance. Today, the grooved bezel is a signature element of the Datejust, Day-Date and Sky-Dweller models.
Mint green dial, fluted decoration, created to achieve a graphic interpretation of the fluted bezel,with baton hour markers and luminescent hands in Chromalight, date at three o'clock, anti-reflective sapphire crystal with cyclops magnifier on the date and screw-down caseback in Rolex steel.
