Launched in 1990, the Possession collection from the House of Piaget introduced a tactile and interactive dimension never before seen in jewellery with its rotating ring mechanism. This second-hand ring continues this rich heritage. It features a mobile outer ring adorned with 7 brilliant-cut diamonds, each weighing 0.02 carat. These colourless stones provide a vivid sparkle that contrasts with the warm brilliance of the 18-carat yellow gold setting. A sculptural and iconic piece.
Architecture and jewellery expertise
The technical complexity of this jewel lies in its double band architecture. The upper ring rotates freely with absolute fluidity on the supporting ring thanks to a micrometrically precise adjustment. Over a total width of 5.2 mm, the upper band with its half-rimmed profile houses the gems. These are set in a half-moon setting where the metal is subtly folded back on either side of the stones to secure them without impeding their luminosity. The entire piece benefits from mirror polishing.
