The circular corolla setting, which first appeared during the Georgian era and was subsequently popularised by the Art Deco movement, was historically designed to encircle the central stone with a continuous ring of light. This second-hand ring, crafted by the Geneva-based firm Richold S.A., embodies this geometric precision. It showcases a natural brilliant-cut diamond weighing exactly 1.07 carats. This gemstone is certified as D colour and VVS1 clarity. The entire solitaire is crafted from 18-carat white gold with a tapered profile.
Architecture and jewellery craftsmanship
The setting features delicate lines to allow the diamonds to take centre stage. The centre stone is raised and secured by four prongs. Around this setting, a continuous halo and the upper half of the band feature meticulous grain-set diamonds. This pavé setting comprises 50 brilliant-cut diamonds with a total weight of 0.35 carats. They complement the main gem thanks to their colour grading between D and F, coupled with an IF–VVS clarity grade, ensuring visual consistency across the entire design.
