The story behind this Piaget Limelight Twice
In 2009, Piaget unveiled a unique watchmaking concept with the Limelight Twice model. Designed to offer two distinct identities within a single structure, this timepiece exemplifies the Manufacture’s technical and jewellery-making expertise. The main challenge lay in designing a case and bracelet that were fully reversible whilst maintaining a slim profile. The G0A37139 model embodies this vision in a rose gold and diamond version. This creation was also awarded the prize for the best ladies’ watch at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in the year of its launch, highlighting its innovative approach.
Case, calibre and bracelet of this Limelight Twice
The 35 mm round case is crafted from 18-carat rose gold. Its reversible design houses two independent quartz movements powered by the calibre 56P, enabling the display of two distinct time zones, adjustable via concealed correctors. One side features an off-centre sunburst silver finish, surrounded by concentric circles set with diamonds. The other side features a sunburst silver finish adorned with elongated black Roman numerals. The articulated bracelet, with no visible clasp, extends this duality with one side set with brilliant-cut diamonds and the other consisting of polished gold links. The setting comprises a total of 680 diamonds, weighing approximately 19 carats.
