The sculptural design of this Piaget ring
During the 1990s and 2000s, the Geneva-based Piaget manufacture explored clean lines, shaping precious metal into pieces full of character. This creative period was characterised by a design philosophy centred on the material itself. This pre-owned Piaget ring exemplifies this approach through its asymmetrical, teardrop-shaped architecture. Crafted in 18K white gold, it follows in the tradition of the Maison’s sculptural creations, with the reference number B51367 engraved on its inner structure.
Architecture and jewellery craftsmanship
This creation is distinguished by a solid, organic setting, forged from a single block of gold. Its proportions provide a broad base and a bold presence. The profile reveals a base tapering into a softened tip, which contrasts with a curved apex to create a fluid geometry. The finish highlights this duality. The outer surface features a full mirror polish that catches the light sharply, whilst the inner surface reveals a uniform brushed finish marked by fine parallel striations.
Why choose this second-hand ring
Acquiring this piece allows you to add a piece of jewellery of considerable material density to your collection. Reproducing such a volume of gold in contemporary workshops would entail significant craftsmanship costs. The second-hand market offers the opportunity to acquire a ring with a generous structure and undeniable comfort. This is an aesthetic choice that favours a vintage design with clean lines.
Contents and condition
The engravings on the inside confirm the piece’s authenticity, with the manufacturer’s signature, the serial number and size 53 deeply engraved into the metal. The 750 hallmark, framed within a diamond shape, and the maker’s mark confirm the fineness. The ring has undergone a thorough restoration. Our workshops have carried out a complete polish and meticulous rhodium plating to restore the original grey hue whilst preserving the integrity of the hallmarks. This piece is supplied with a The Swiss Collector presentation box.
