The Jaeger-LeCoultre manufacture has maintained a consistent level of technical rigour throughout the decades. During the 1960s, the brand produced classic watches designed to ensure accurate timekeeping in everyday life. This model stands out for its dial, adorned with the Crosshair motif. This cross-shaped line, dividing the space into four sections, has its origins in optical and navigational instruments. Designed to provide a precise visual reference, this functional detail defines a minimalist watchmaking aesthetic. It reflects an approach in which every design element serves a technical purpose.
Case, movement and strap of this Automatic
This timepiece features a 35 mm diameter stainless steel case. Its straight lugs extend from a polished bezel framing a light-coloured dial. The dial features raised hour markers and gold-plated Dauphine-style hands. A date window at 3 o’clock displays the date beneath a domed Plexiglas crystal. On the back, a brushed screw-down caseback protects the self-winding mechanical movement, offering a power reserve of approximately 40 hours. The watch comes with a new black alligator-style leather strap fastened with a pin buckle. Water resistance is no longer guaranteed on a timepiece of this era.

Contents and condition
This watch is supplied in a complimentary presentation box from The Swiss Collector. It is in a condition consistent with its age. The steel case shows slight wear marks on its polished and brushed surfaces. The dial displays a distinctive patina. The replacement strap is new. Given its classification as being in good condition, our workshops can carry out a polish on request, although preserving the vintage condition and its original patina is now preferred by collectors.
