Launched in the mid-2010s, this timepiece draws its design inspiration from the architecture of 1950s cigarette cases. The NR-N05 model exemplifies this concept, in which the sapphire crystal becomes a structural element in its own right. The founder designed this model to strike a visual balance between the classicism of the dial and a bold presence on the wrist.

Case, movement and strap of this New Retro

The design of this timepiece is based on a matt black PVD-coated steel case measuring 50 mm in width and 44 mm in height. This construction integrates the strap directly into the central frame. The bezel recedes to make way for two large, curved sapphire crystals that envelop the watch from both the front and the back. The matt black dial features Arabic numerals and a contrasting railway-track minute track. On the back, the self-winding dG 10-01 calibre is revealed, with its blackened, open-worked oscillating weight bearing the brand’s coat of arms. This movement beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of 42 hours, whilst ensuring water resistance to 30 metres. The matt black alligator leather strap fastens with an asymmetrical folding clasp.
