The history of this Carl F. Bucherer Manero Peripheral Perpetual Calendar Black
The Carl F. Bucherer Maison celebrates its one-hundred-and-thirty-fifth anniversary with remarkable technical audacity by unveiling the Capsule collection. This singular project reinvents five icons of the brand around forged carbon. Reference 00.10916.16.33.01 embodies the pinnacle of this vision. To leave a lasting impression, the manufacture unveiled each model in a different global megacity. This perpetual calendar was presented in Tokyo. This geographical choice highlights the duality of the watch, uniting an avant-garde material with traditional watchmaking craftsmanship. Forged carbon thus interacts with a classic complication.
Case, calibre and bracelet of this Manero Peripheral Perpetual Calendar Black
The 41.6 mm case is machined from forged carbon and houses a protective titanium container. Its matte and marbled surface, unique to each example, contrasts with the deep black dial. The latter displays the perpetual calendar and reveals, at six o’clock, an aventurine moon phase topped with two hand-engraved white gold moons. The dauphine-shaped hands and indexes are rhodium-plated to subtly capture the light. Beneath the domed sapphire crystal, the spectacle continues on the reverse side of the watch. The COSC-certified automatic calibre CFB A2055 features 33 jewels. It beats at a frequency of 4 Hz and delivers a 55-hour power reserve. Its defining feature lies in its peripheral rotor, a major innovation from the manufacture allowing admiration of the bridges decorated with wide anthracite-grey Geneva stripes. This timepiece is fitted with a textured rubber strap equipped with a quick-change system and secured by a PVD steel double folding clasp. Water resistance is ensured to 30 metres.
