The Roman circle on the Bvlgari Save the Children ring
Created to mark Bvlgari’s partnership with Save the Children, which has been running since 2009, this Bvlgari Save the Children ring draws on the design of the B.zero1, launched in 1999 and inspired by the Colosseum’s amphitheatre. The model’s spiral is crafted here in solid 925 sterling silver, wrapped around a central band of polished black ceramic. For every piece sold, the House donates a fixed sum to the organisation’s programmes. Offered as a pre-owned piece, this Save the Children ring retains the exact signature design and construction of the model still available in-store.
Architecture and jewellery craftsmanship
The ring is constructed in three parts. Two polished silver edges frame the central ceramic body, which is set slightly recessed and forms the spiral motif characteristic of the collection. Each edge bears the double engraving ‘BVLGARI BVLGARI’ in Roman capital letters separated by dots, in the style of ancient inscriptions. On the inside, the inscription ‘Save the Children’ is engraved in the silver, alongside the hallmarks. The mirror-polished ceramic is more scratch-resistant than metal and retains a deep black colour that contrasts sharply with the white of the silver. Measuring 7 mm wide, the ring has enough presence to be worn on its own on the index or ring finger, and its rounded edges glide smoothly along the finger without snagging.
Why choose this second-hand ring
This model is still featured in the Bvlgari catalogue. Buying it second-hand gives you the same construction, designed and manufactured in Italy, with a piece that has already been polished and inspected by us. Sterling silver is revitalised by a simple polish, and the ceramic does not develop a patina, allowing the ring to be kept in this condition over the years. It also offers a gateway into the B.zero1 universe, in its black and silver version, with a story linked to a cause.
Contents and condition
The ring is size 52 and bears the 925 silver hallmark in an oval, the Italian manufacturer’s hallmark and the words ‘Made in Italy’. It has been refurbished, polished and inspected by our artisan jeweller, and the black ceramic band is intact all the way round. The ring is not adjustable and cannot be resized. It is supplied in a The Swiss Collector box.
