Bovet draws on a watchmaking tradition dating back to the 19th century. The Sportster model brings this heritage to the wrist. The distinctive feature of this collection lies in its ‘Bullhead’ design. By positioning the crown and pushers at the 12 o’clock position, the manufacture draws on the design codes of pocket chronographs whilst freeing up the wrist for greater comfort. The 40 mm round stainless steel case features a fully polished finish. This asymmetrical design incorporates an articulated lug at 12 o’clock and a straight lug at 6 o’clock. The black enamel dial features Art Deco-style applied hour markers in rose gold and luminescent serpentine hands. A smooth bezel surrounds the sapphire crystal. The watch is powered by the self-winding calibre 13BA01 with a 42-hour power reserve. This movement, visible through the case back, reveals an openworked oscillating weight in blued steel. It incorporates a chronograph function and a large date displayed via a double disc. The watch is water-resistant to 100 metres. The watch is fitted with a matt black alligator leather strap secured by a steel folding clasp.
