About this Blancpain Léman
The Léman collection was introduced in the 1980s, its name referencing the lake bordering the Vallée de Joux, home of the Blancpain manufacture. Designed as an everyday dress watch, it reflects the brand's guiding principle: producing only mechanical watches, with clean dials and balanced proportions. Reference 2100-1418-53 follows that same approach. Its 38mm 18k yellow gold case gives the watch a warm, dressed-up feel, while the white dial with applied indices and Roman numerals in yellow gold is reminiscent of dress watches from the second half of the 20th century.
Case, movement and bracelet
The round 38mm case is in 750/18k yellow gold. The white dial features applied yellow gold indices and Roman numerals, with a date window at 3 o'clock. The movement is the in-house calibre 1151, an automatic with 29 jewels. Water resistance is rated to 30 metres. The strap is in black alligator leather, secured by a yellow gold 18k pin buckle matching the case.

The yellow gold Léman is a solid entry point into the Blancpain world on the pre-owned market. Production volumes at the Sentier manufacture have always been limited, which keeps availability relatively tight on the secondary market.
