The history of this Anonimo Nautilo
Anonimo was founded in 1997 in Florence. Florentine watchmakers and engineers, unwilling to see their craft disappear following Panerai’s move to Switzerland, joined forces to preserve this local expertise. The Nautilo AM-5019.17.105 model.M01 is a direct heir to this military-inspired engineering. The off-centre crown at 4 o’clock is not merely an aesthetic choice, but an ergonomic design intended to prevent the winding mechanism from injuring the back of the hand whilst diving. This design ensures comfort and technical performance in an aquatic environment.
Case, movement and strap of this Nautilo
The brushed stainless steel case has a diameter of 44.4 mm. Its shape features the characteristic cushion form, which makes a striking statement on the wrist whilst retaining short lugs for a stable fit. The dial features a sunburst finish with a deep smoked effect, where the taupe centre darkens towards the outer edge. The applied hour markers and sword-shaped hands incorporate luminescent material for clear night-time readability. The hour markers at 12, 4 and 8 o’clock are split to subtly evoke the brand. The SW200-1 self-winding mechanical movement powers the watch, offering a 38-hour power reserve and water resistance tested to 200 metres. The watch comes with a brown calfskin strap featuring ecru topstitching and an additional brushed steel bracelet.
