The history of the Anonimo Militare
Founded in the early 2000s, Anonimo has its roots in the design of specialised equipment for Italian combat divers. The Militare collection, launched in 2001, exemplifies this approach. The initial technical challenge was to design a perfectly water-resistant case whilst ensuring comfort on the wrist during underwater missions. The architectural solution adopted was to move the winding crown to the 12 o’clock position. This is protected by a patented locking mechanism, integrated directly into the upper lug and secured by the tension of the strap. This configuration leaves the side of the watch completely unobstructed, preventing any physical strain on the back of the hand. The AM-1122.01 model continues this technical heritage with a chronograph whose functional design draws direct inspiration from vintage military measuring instruments, consistently prioritising legibility.
Case, movement and strap of this Militare Chronograph Vintage
The cushion-shaped case measures 43.4 mm in diameter. It is machined from stainless steel and features a brushed finish. The upper lug space incorporates the hinged joint securing the fluted crown. On the right-hand side, two bevelled rectangular pushers operate the chronograph. The matt black dial features a contrasting bi-compax layout, with a peripheral minute track and two beige-tinted blued sub-dials. The rhodium-plated sword-shaped hands, along with the baton hour markers and the large Arabic numerals at 04, 08 and 12, are coated with luminescent material. On the case back, a sapphire crystal reveals the self-winding mechanical movement. This is a Sellita SW300 base calibre combined with a Dubois Dépraz 2035M chronograph module. The movement features 49 jewels, operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of 42 hours. The oscillating weight is decorated with Côtes de Genève. The watch is fitted with a black suede calfskin strap with white topstitching, featuring a steel folding clasp.

This timepiece is supplied with its complete original presentation set, comprising the outer box, the main box, the presentation cushion, the hang tag, an additional brown textured leather strap that has never been worn, and its blank warranty card. Inspection of the watch confirms that it has been worn only occasionally. The brushed finish on the steel case middle retains its original sharpness and the sapphire crystal is free from scratches. Slight signs of softening are visible on the suede leather strap at the adjustment point, accompanied by superficial micro-scratches on the polished parts of the steel folding clasp.
