It is equipped with a Breguet balance-spring to enhance the movement's regularity. 40 mm steel case with unidirectional rotating steel bezel with diving scale. Steel Oyster bracelet and Rolex folding clasp. Screw-down crown. Reference 16800 is the first Rolex Submariner with sapphire crystal and cyclops date display at 3 o'clock. Black dial. This refers to a particular pattern on the dial characterized by fine lines that seem to extend from the center of the dial outwards, creating a spider-web-like appearance. This type of dial is generally considered an aesthetic feature prized by collectors of vintage Rolex watches. Applied hour-markers and Mercedes hands. Date at 3 o'clock.
